There are strong indications that the Boko Haram terrorist group might attack four communities in Borno very soon.
The communities highlighted for major attacks by Boko Haram and Islamic State (IS) in West Africa are Damasak, Mallam Fatori, Magumeri, Gubio.
The alert has come a few days after a series of attacks by the terrorist group in Borno, including an attack on a Nigerian military base in Gajiram that led to the death of five soldiers.
One of the attacks by the Boko Haram sect led to the killing of Lt Col Azuibuke among other casualties.
A source confirmed to SaharaReporters that following the attacks by the group at Kareto Village in Mobbar Local Government Area, the terrorist group moved to Fuchimiram Village and are likely to remain in the community.
“BHTs/ISWAP elements attacked troops of 158Bn location at Kareto Village, Mobbar LGA of Borno State.
“Attack was not repelled and troops at the location were dislodged.
“However, BHTs later relocated to Fuchimiram Village which is 6Km West of Kareto and the terrorist elements are likely still in the location.”
SaharaReporters could confirm that the attacks would not stop as the insurgent groups are desperate in their killings.
SaharaReporters gathered that an urgent call had been made to the Nigerian military to immediately move in to engage the terrorist groups.
“There is urgent need to info all units in the axes covering Damasak, Mallam Fatori, Magumeri, Gubio to be on high alert as the BHTs are emboldened to launch more attacks during the rainy season.
“NAF could conduct ISR scans for possible airstrikes on Fuchimiram and other locations where terrorist elements are hibernating,” the source said.
