President Muhammadu Buhari today met with leaders of two major political parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and those of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the State House in Abuja.
The meeting which held behind closed doors also had in attendance the Vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
A source at the meeting said it was held under a relaxed atmosphere with the Acting Chairman of the PDP, Senator Ahmed Makarfi reading from a prepared speech while the APC Chairman, John Odigie Oyegun spoke extempore.
President Buhari responded with a short prepared speech thanking the visitors for coming to wish him well after returning from a prolonged medical vacation.
Most speakers at the meeting voiced their support for a politically matured engagement with the PDP speakers restating that they did not wish President Buhari ill health.

The meeting which lasted for an hour plus ended with Buhari shaking hands with almost all the attendees.
